WB keeps starting after unload and reboot
Published on October 13, 2020 By langbraten In WindowBlinds

Hi , dont know if it is WB or Curtains that is the issue, have unloaded WB , then added a curtains style, works well, but after reboot, its WB that starts, have checked windows startup, cant see it there...

just found that windowblinds service was still running, will try a reboot after I stopped it.

Hello,

The WB service will continue to run with WB installed and it does not hurt any Curtains functionality if left to do so.

Probably that it's Windowblinds that loads after reboot and not the Curtains style applied just before.

Prodably that it's Windowblinds that loads after reboot and not the Curtains style applied just before.

That was not said nor should that be the case.

Again, the WB service starting is not an issue - or - should not be.  If you are seeing something wrong, that a Curtains style is not still being applied upon reboot, perhaps a WB skin is, we need to know that.

If you just dont like that the WB service is starting, for whatever reason, you can set it to 'manual':

I guess I have not made this clear, I want to have a curtains style loaded on reboot, before reboot I have selected and loaded this style, all good...no windowblinds running...then when I reboot...guess what..windowblinds load with the last skin used, not curtains...then I can unload windowblinds an load curtains, all good...until reboot....hope this made it clear, no big problem, just nice to get fixed...

Yes, now we know the problem...

What version of Curtains (About tab in UI, 1.10 is current, 1.11 is in beta)?

When you restart, and the WB skin is applied, is the Curtains service running?

1: Curtais version 1.11 beta

2: style : Synthwave redux

3: windowblinds 10.84(059 - Windows 10 Edition) - 64 bit OS

4: Skin : Cressida

This morning , looked like both WB and curtains were running , had the start button with color from curtains, but the rest was Cressida, color and everything, checked , both services was running, then did update and shutdown, after that reboot, only Curtains was running, did another reboot, with power off, now all seems good, no signs og Cressida skin, only Synthwave style...
